Youth League Women host Pakenham on Sunday

Jacinta Li and the Camberwell Dragons will be chasing a third straight win when they tip things off in their Big V Youth League One Women clash with Pakenham at Balwyn High on Sunday.

Li (pictured) won a place on the Big V Blue Carpet Starting Five after finishing with a game-high 22 points, nine rebounds and five steals in Camberwell’s 67-57 win against visiting Sunbury last weekend, and shapes as a key player in the Dragons’ drive towards the finals.

Camberwell enters the weekend with a 13-5 record and third in the standings behind unbeaten Eltham (18-0) and Bulleen (15-3), but will be tested by the Warriors, who beat the Dragons in Pakenham earlier in the season, and are on a three-game winning streak of their own.

Game time at Balwyn High on Sunday (July 9) is 12pm.

The Youth League One Women are the only Dragons Big V team in action at home this weekend, with our Championship Men, Championship Women and Youth League Men all on the road tomorrow (Saturday) night.

The Championship Men tip things off against Keysborough at Rowville Secondary College Eastern Campus at 8pm, the Championship Women play Sunbury at Boardman Stadium at 8pm, and the Youth League Men travel to Craigieburn for a 6pm date with their host.

The Dragons are sixth in the Youth League One competition with an 11-7 record and within striking distance of fifth-placed Bulleen (12-7) with four games left in their regular season.
