Youth League Men Coaches
The Camberwell Dragons are pleased to announce their coaching lineup for the upcoming 2013 Youth League team.
After a rigorous application process, Julian Fields has been appointed head coach of the team and Ezra Kumar the assistant coach position. The two have previously worked in the same role together in the 2010 Big V season, where they guided the mens team to the semi-finals, both as rookie Big V coaches.
“We are excited to have both Julian and Ezra involved with our inaugural Youth League team” said Club President Anthony Cullen. “The success both have had working together in their previous Big V campaign, whilst developing the younger players in that team, bodes well for this team.”
“Both Julian and Ezra have had, along with their 2010 season, successful junior teams throughout the years and are both committed to the development of our younger players trying to take that next step to our Division 1 Big V team.”
“Both coaches will be able to help the team, and each other, succeed.”
Tryouts commence this Sunday (2/12), 2.30-4.30 at Balwyn High School and finish up for 2012 on the 9th of December, at 2.30-4.30. They will then commence after the Christmas and New Years break in early January.
As well as the excitement generated by the youth league team, the clubs other senior teams have started their tryouts. Both Damon Lowery and Brian Vaughns are excited for their mens and womens team respectively, and cannot wait for the preseason to start. Brian’s womens teams have finished their tryouts for the year, but Damon’s mens finish up for 2012 on the 2/12 at Balwyn High School, 2.30-4.30. Both teams then resume tryouts in early January.
