Boston Celtics legend and nine-time NBA championship-winning coach Red Auerbach always had a way with words.
For those unfamiliar with Red’s work, he is one of the most colourful characters and successful coaches and executives in NBA history.
He combined with the great Bill Russell to make the Celtics one of the most feared organisations in professional sports in the ’50s and ’60s, and years later as an executive built the great Boston teams featuring Larry Bird, Robert Parish and Kevin McHale.
