Classic tip-off just hours away for Dragons

Tip-off time for the two teams repping the Dragons at the National Junior Classic is just hours away. And we can’t wait to get this thing started!

Our 14.1 Girls are in a pool with Nunawading, West Adelaide and Moe, and will open their campaign against the Spectres at Dandenong Stadium at 8.30am on Saturday morning.

It’s the first of three games at Dandenong on opening day for these Dragons. They’ll play West Adelaide at 1.50pm and then wrap up pool play with a 7.10pm game against Moe.

The Camberwell boys will make a later start to their tournament, with their opener against highly ranked Dandenong at Dandenong Stadium at 12.30pm.

It will be a proud moment for the club, with this group becoming the first-ever Under 14 Boys team from the Dragons to compete at the Classic.

Camberwell will be back at Dandenong tomorrow afternoon for a 5.50pm date with Sydney team Hornsby-Ku-ring-gai, and will play its final pool game against Adelaide’s Forestville Eagles at Dandenong on Sunday morning (9.50am).

If you’re hanging with the Dragons at the Classic over the weekend, please send photos, game reports, news and/or items of interest tocommunications@camberwellbasketball.com

We’ll share them with the Camberwell family during what’s going to be a huge King’s Birthday weekend of basketball for our club.

We’ll also have 23 Dragons teams and four girls development teams running the floor at the Nunawading Spectres Tournament, and we want to see and hear all the latest about how they’re travelling, too! Send it to communications@camberwellbasketball.com
