Dragons & Melbourne Boomers Partnership
The Camberwell Dragons and the Deakin Melbourne Boomers have joined forces for the 2015/16 WNBL season.
The Camberwell Dragons have signed up with the Deakin Melbourne Boomers for season 2015/16 in the WNBL. We join other Melbourne Associations who have joined the partnership giving much needed support for our elite women’s competition in the Womens National Basketball League.
Justin Nelson, our Division One Women’s coach, also holds the role of the CEO of the Deakin Melbourne Boomers giving us a close link with the WNBL powerhouse. The Boomers only missed Finals last year on a three way head to head tie, and go into this season full of confidence with a finals berth in mind. Guy Molloy will take the women into 2015/16 season with a lot of confidence after a strong performance in the previous season.
Dragons’ members will have great access when attending any WNBL Boomers home game. The Boomers have made a strong point of inviting all players from around the VJBL into the Boomers family, and feel a part of the great atmosphere. Everyone from the Camberwell Dragon attending a game will get an opportunity to meet the players of the Melbourne Boomers, take photo’s with them, get their autographs, and get a great insight to the teams culture. It’s a great experience for anyone, and Camberwell is lucky to have this opportunity.
For every ticket purchased online using the ‘DRAGONS’ code helps not only supports the Melbourne Boomers, but also supports the Camberwell Dragons. This initiative is a great way for Associations and supporters to get right behind the WNBL. See below for more details.
Let’s get behind the Melbourne Boomers in season 2015/16 as they push for a Championship.
