DRAGONS VJBL RESULTS – FRIDAY, MAY 26
Girls Under 12, 14, 16, 18, 20
Highlights:
12.5 – Won 27-13 on the road against Kilsyth 5 to tighten their grip on fourth place in VJL5 (P1) at the halfway mark of the season. The Dragons have a 6-3 record and are a point back from third-placed Casey 6.
14.1 – Will finish their season among the top 10 Under 14 Girls teams in the VJBL after qualifying for the VC Championship competition. This group will also be one of two Dragons teams competing at the prestigious National Junior Classic over the Kings’s Birthday Weekend, with our 14.1 Boys also qualifying.
14.4 – Posted an important 28-24 win against Hawthorn 2 at BSC to improve to 5-4 and closed the first half of their season fourth in VJL 6 (P1). Jessica Maycock had a game-high 14 points in this one to lead the Dragons.
16.2 – Ava Verrier led the way with 12 points in a 34-21 road win against Keysborough 1 at Rowville Secondary College. Dragons improved to 5-4 and are fourth in the VJL4 (P1) competition.
16.5 – Zara Skaltas (13) and Lilla Barber (12) combined for 25 points to lead the Dragons to a 34-27 road win against third-placed Western Port 2 at Somerville. Camberwell is fifth in VJL7 (P1) with a 5-3 record.
