DRAGONS PLAYER PROFILE
This week we are profiling one of our Big V Division 1 women TAHLIA HIGGS

NICKNAME: “T”
SINGLET NUMBER: #4
JUNIOR CLUB: Doncaster
OCCUPATION: Marketing
HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU STARTED PLAYING BASKETBALL: 5 years old
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT CAMBERWELL DRAGONS: The support system. On and off the court, my team mates are athletes of basketball while also being cheerleaders for each other at the same time.
OFFENCE OR DEFENCE: Defence
WHO IS YOUR FUNNIEST TEAM MATE AND WHY: Everyone!! We all have our funny moments.
WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT INGREDIENT TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS: Be willing to learn! Whether you have been playing for 5 years or 20 years you have to make sure you are constantly progressing and developing. Spend the time on professional development and constantly seek both people and resources to broaden your scope and assist in your success.
WHAT IS THE BEST THING YOU HAVE LEARNT FROM BASKETBALL: Team work! Basketball is a team sport which means it requires contribution and co-operation from every member in order to play well and win. this has transferred to a life lesson of contributing, collaborating and sharing in everything I do.
SOME ADVICE FOR DRAGONS FANS: It’s OK to fail. Nobody likes to fail but just because you could not succeed at something doesn’t mean you won’t succeed at it. It is temporary and gets you out of your comfort zone, helps you develop resilience and can give you the mental boost to self-analyse where you are lacking and what can be done to improve.
