Dragons VJBL results of games played on Friday, June 23

Under 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 Boys

Highlights:

12.1 Archie O’Brien led all scorers with 16 points and Ashton Arnott and Kaelan Webb each had 12 for the Dragons, who improved to 10-3 and closed Round 13 second in VJL1 (P1), a game back from league leader Kilsyth 2.

12.4 – Edward Hinshelwood had a team-high 12 points and four players scored eight points or more in a 47-28 win against Sherbrooke 1 at Balwyn High. These Dragons are 6-5-2 and sixth in VJL4 (P1).

14.1 – Lukas Koutoufides (19), Fred Hardman (14) and Benjamin Richardson (12) combined for 45 points in a 69-62 road win against Sandringham 1. The Dragons improved to 1-2 in VC play.

14.2 – Opened up a 20-3 lead at quarter-time on the road and never looked back in a 57-37 win against Sandringham 3. Zackery Tung with 11 points for the Dragons, who are second in VJL2 with a 10-2-1 record.

14.7 – Jacob Tan had 17 points to lead the unbeaten Dragons, who had too much for visiting Western Port 3. The boys are 13-0 and two games clear of second-placed Dandenong 8 in VJL10 (P1).

14.9 – Had it going at the defensive end in a 39-24 home win against Nunawading 6. The boys held the Spectres to seven points in the first half and Xavier Walker (14 points) led the way at the other end of the floor. These guys are third in VJL11 (P2) and two points out of second place with five games left in the regular season.

16.3 – Will Elliston led a well-balanced Dragons offence with 13 points in a 62-37 win against McKinnon 5 at Balwyn High. Five players scored eight points or more for Camberwell, which set up its win with a 36-18 first half.

16.4 – Coby Crowl led all scorers with 25 points in a 52-52 draw against Pakenham 2 at BSC.

18.2 – Hamish Campbell-Burns and James Godfrey each had 11 points to pace the Dragons in a 46-36 road win against Western Port 1. The boys are 7-6 and third in VJL5 (P1).

20.1 – Angus Nelson led all scorers with 32 points and Liam O’Hoy added 20 as Camberwell put up 52 points in the second half, including 27 in the final quarter, to catch visiting Kilsyth at Balwyn High. The Dragons are 7-5 and fifth in VC.

20.2 – Fraser Truscott had 16 points and Gary Zhao added 15 in a 61-61 draw on the road against Geelong United.
