Coleman in line for junior national team
Congratulations to our own James Coleman, who will compete for a place on the Australian Under 17 national team.
James, who plays for the Dragons Under 18.1 team in the VJBL competition and our Big V Youth League team, was this week named to participate at the national team selection camp ahead of this year’s Under 16 FIBA Asia Cup.
It’s been a big year already for James, who played a pivotal role on the Victorian team that swept the field in Brisbane in April to claim the title at the Australian Under 18 national championship.
He’s one of 10 Victorians invited to the August selection camp. The three-day camp opens on August 8.
Other Vics on the squad include Harry Beauchamp, Ryder Cheesman and Henry Sewell – three of his running mates on the state team that clinched the Under 18 title with a 90-51 win against Vic Country in the championship game.
Great job, James, and best wishes from all at Camberwell for the challenges ahead.
