Let’s play it again, Cougars!
Camberwell Dragons Youth League One Women are going back to GESAC for the second time in a week after learning today they’ll open their Big V finals campaign on the road against McKinnon on Saturday afternoon.
The Dragons are coming off the final weekend of their regular season, which they opened with a 68-62 loss to the Cougars at GESAC on Saturday night before rolling over Coburg yesterday.
Camberwell closed the season in fifth place with a 15-7 record and to move into the second round of finals action must now find a way past McKinnon, which finished fourth with the same record.
The Dragons are 0-2 against the Cougars, who beat them 70-57 at Balwyn High School on June 17.
In the other Youth League One Women final this week, third-placed Wyndham hosts sixth-placed Pakenham at Eagle Stadium on Saturday afternoon (5.30pm).
Eltham (22-0) and Bulleen (19-3) move directly into the second round.
