Just reward for Wallace quadruple-double
More good news for our own Kaitlyn Wallace this morning, with the popular Youth League One Women’s team captain winning a place on the Big V Blue Carpet Starting Five for Round 10.
Wallace was a can’t-miss selection after crafting an historic 22-point, 10-rebound, 12-assist, 10-steal quadruple-double in Camberwell’s big win against Warrandyte at Balwyn High School.
She wasn’t the only Dragon named on the Blue Carpet Starting Five either, with her running mate Jacinta Li earning recognition for her 25-point, eight-rebound, three-assist haul against the Venom.

Sunday’s win against Warrandyte was the second in less than 24 hours for Camberwell, which opened its weekend with a 76-41 win against Collingwood at Balwyn High on Saturday afternoon.
The challenges, though, keep coming for Wallace and Li, with the second-placed Dragons (11-2) now preparing for a top-of-the-table date with unbeaten Eltham (12-0) at Balwyn High on Saturday afternoon (4pm).
Camberwell will be looking to get one back against the visitors, who had too much for the Dragons when they last met on May 21 at Eltham High School. The Wildcats winning that one 67-53.
In other games on the Big V slate this weekend:
Our Championship Women have the second game of the double-header at Balwyn High on Saturday night. They’ll tip things off against Sherbrooke at 6pm;
The Dragons Championship Men’s team has a road date with Sunbury at Boardman Stadium on Saturday night (3pm);
And our Youth League Men have a noon showdown with Keysborough at Balwyn High on Sunday.
