DRAGONS VJBL RESULTS: Round 11 games played Friday, June 9
Under 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 Girls
12.2 – Natalie Lai had 12 points and all eight Dragons players scored in a 37-20 home win against Dandenong 2. Camberwell improved to 9-2 and is third with Sandringham 2 in VJL1 (P1). Those two a game back from league-leading Pakenham.
12.6 – Visiting Camberwell clamped down at the defensive end and held Dandenong 6 to just 20 points in a six-point win at Dandenong Stadium. Evie Fisher with six points for the Dragons, who improved to 8-2. They’re second in VJL6 (P2) and have the same record as league-leading Bulleen 4.
14.4 – Hit the road to Somerville and came away with a 30-24 win against Western Port 1. Alana Huynh and Jessica Maycock each had seven points to lead the Dragons, who are fourth in VJL6 (P1) with a 7-4 record.
16.2 – Ava Verrier led all scorers with 14 points in a 37-35 win against Sandringham 3 at Balwyn High. The Dragons improved to 6-5 and are fourth in VJL4 (P1).
16.3 – Ivy Ryan (18) and Lila Hudleston (13) combined for 31 points as the Dragons put up 66 points in a 30-point road win against Casey 4. Camberwell (9-2) is second in VJL5 (1), a game back from Frankston.
18.1 – Sophie Jones finished with 17 points and Jasmine Chan-Clayton added 12 (including three three-pointers) to lead Camberwell to a 46-34 win against visiting Sandringham 2. The Dragons pulled away with a 25-13 second half after the scores were tied at halftime. The girls are fifth in VJL1 with a 7-4 record.
18.4 – Olivia Scott (11 points), Amy Gerdsen (11) and Juliette Martino (10) led the Dragons to a 40-35 road win against third-placed Sherbrooke 1. Our girls are second with a 9-1 record, a game behind unbeaten Blackburn 2 in VJL6 (P2).
