DRAGONS VJBL RESULTS – FRIDAY, MAY 19
Boys Under 12, 14, 16, 18, 20

Highlights:

12.1 – Eight players scored four points or more as the Dragons held off visiting Mornington 1 in a tight one at Balwyn High School. Camberwell improved to 7-1 and leads the VJL1 (P1) competition from Southern Peninsula 1 (7-1) and Kilsyth 2 (6-2).

14.1 – Hit back from a heavy loss against Nunawading last week to hold back Knox 1 at Balwyn High. Fred Hardman had a game-high 17 points and Max Tully added 15 to lead the Dragons, who improved to 6-2. They’re third in VC Watson behind Eltham (7-1) and Nunawading (6-2).

14.7 – Another big night out for the Dragons, who rallied from two down at the half and then outscored their host 25-10 after the main break to beat Pakenham 3, 48-35. Harley Smith had 17 points to pace Camberwell, which stretched its season-opening winning streak to 8. It leads the VJL10 (P1) competition with an 8-0 record, a game clear of McKinnon 6.

16.3 – Jonathan Borrello finished with 12 points and all nine players scored as Camberwell held off Sandringham 2 for a 46-41 at Camberwell Grammar School. The Dragons improved to 2-5.

18.2 Boys – Sebastian Vidovich and Harry Clarke each had 11 points and all nine players scored for the Dragons, who came from behind to beat league-leading Kilsyth 3 on the road. Down by three at the half, Camberwell outscored its host 38-25 the rest of the way en route to a 59-49 win. The Dragons improved to 4-4 and are two points out of third place in VJL5 (P1).

18.3 Boys – Jacques Dewaele poured in a game-high 27 points as the Dragons, with just six players, came alive late to beat Bulleen 3 on the road at Mullum Mullum Stadium. Camberwell outscoring its host 16-7 in the fourth quarter.
