Cougars fire late to deny Dragons

Gemma Fyfe led all scorers with 15 points and Marnie Houghton added 12 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Dragons, but McKinnon had too much for Camberwell in their Big V Championship Women clash at GESAC on Sunday.
Camberwell made a good start in this one to lead by 15 at the half, before the Cougars turned the game around with a 24-9 third quarter and then pulled away for a 78-65 win.
Samantha Labros added 13 points for the Dragons, while Tamara Booth led the way for McKinnon with 11 points, 16 rebounds and three steals.
The Dragons slipped to 3-3 and are in fifth place, tied with McKinnon (3-3) for fourth.
