Our four Big V teams return to the court this week, and we’ve got a big weekend of Dragons basketball ahead at Balwyn High.
it all starts on Saturday night, with our Championship Women’s team at home for its Round 4 date with visiting Sunbury (6pm).
The fourth-placed Dragons (2-2) will be out to snap a two-game losing streak after falling to Wyndham and league leader Bulleen in their past two outings, while the Jets will be looking to halt a season-opening three-game losing streak of their own.
We’ll be back at Balwyn High on Sunday afternoon, where our unbeaten Youth League One Women will put their four-game winning streak on the line against Wyndham (3-3) in the first game of a double-header. Tip-off time for that one is 12pm.
Our Youth League One Men’s team also has business to attend to against Wyndham at home this week. The Dragons dropped to 3-1 after a 90-86 home loss against Hume in their last game before the Easter break, and will be tested by second-placed Wyndham, which is off to a 3-0 start.
And the Championship Men’s team will take its show on the road to Broadmeadows on Saturday night for an 8pm date with league-leading Hume.
The Dragons improved to 3-2 with an 82-67 road win against Blackburn before breaking for Easter, while the Broncos (4-0) have been impressive through the first month of the season, posting wins against Keysborough, McKinnon, Sunbury and Bellarine.
